Dow Organ Support Society (DOSS) is a student-led initiative by the students of Dow University of Health Sciences (DMC/DIMC), committed to raising awareness about the noble cause of deceased organ donation. Our mission is to educate the community, dispel myths, promote ethical and religious understanding, and encourage donor registration to save countless lives. We aim to foster a culture of compassion where organ donation after brain death is recognized as an ultimate act of humanity, giving hope and a second chance at life to patients in need.

  • Creating  digital content for Pakistani audience, explaining the steps and benefits of deceased organ donation.
  • Motivate individuals to become registered organ donors, simplifying the registration process and ensuring accessibility.
  • Provide support and guidance to families of deceased donors, respecting their wishes and helping them through the donation process.

Toqeer Abbas

Toqeer Abbas is a 3rd-year MBBS student at Dow International Medical College, Karachi, and the founder and current president of the Dow Organ Support Society. In his role as president, he oversees the strategic direction of the society, leads initiatives to raise awareness about organ donation, coordinates events, and works towards increasing public engagement and support for deceased organ donation in Pakistan.

Sabir Ali Hasrat

Sabir Ali is the co-founder and current vice president of the Dow Organ Support Society. In his role, he helps guide the society’s initiatives, supports efforts to raise awareness about organ donation, and plays a key role in organizing events and engaging the community.

Athar Khalil

Athar Khalil is the head of the HR department at the Dow Organ Support Society. In this role, he manages the recruitment and coordination of society members, ensures smooth internal operations, and plays a vital part in fostering a positive and efficient working environment.

Muhammad Abdullah

Muhammad Abdul is the head of the medical and surgical team at the Dow Organ Support Society. In this role, he leads the medical and surgical initiatives, coordinates with healthcare professionals, and ensures the effective implementation of medical strategies related to organ donation and transplantation awareness.

Atiqa Fatima is the head of the awareness society at the Dow Organ Support Society. In this role, she leads the efforts to educate the public about organ donation, develops awareness campaigns, and works to increase community engagement and support for the cause.

Wajhia Aftab is the head of conference arrangements at the Dow Organ Support Society. In this role, she is responsible for organizing and coordinating all aspects of conferences, ensuring smooth logistics, and facilitating the successful execution of events focused on raising awareness about organ donation.

Dr Rashid Bin Hamid

Dr. Rashid Bin Hamid is an Associate Professor with 20 years of experience in the field of urology. He holds the qualification of M.S. (Urology). Dr. Hamid specializes in urology and is committed to advancing medical knowledge and practices related to renal health and transplantation. His office is located at the Renal Transplant Unit, Third Floor, Dow University Hospital, Gulzar-e-Hijri, Supraco Road, KDA Scheme-33, Karachi, Pakistan.

Dr Tassaduq Khan

Dr. Muhammad Tassaduq Khan is an Associate Professor of Nephrology and a Renal Transplant Physician with 17 years of experience. He holds various qualifications, including MBBS, MRCP (UK), FCPS (Nephrology), FRCP (Edin), MSC in Organ Transplant (UK), and CHPE (DOW). In his professional capacity, Dr. Khan specializes in nephrology and renal transplantation, contributing significantly to the medical field. He is also dedicated to advancing awareness and practices related to organ donation and transplantation in Pakistan.

Dr Ramla Naz

Dr. Ramlah Naz is a Professor, Head of the Department, and Vice Principal at Dow International Medical College (DIMC), as well as the Director of DMJ. She holds multiple qualifications, including MBBS, DMJ, CHPE, M. Phil, and FCPS. Dr. Naz has extensive experience in medical education and is dedicated to advancing the field of healthcare. Her office is located at Room No# 66, 2nd Floor, DIMC, DUHS.
